Meet the Clerk and Her Team

Kim Turlich-Vaughan

The duties and responsibilities of the Clerk of Court are established by the Louisiana Constitution. Under the Constitution the Clerk serves as the Recorder of Deeds and Mortgages, Clerk of the District Court, Treasurer for the Court system, and Chief Election Officer of the parish.

The Clerk of Court's office is not funded by ad valorem taxes. The operations of the office, including the salaries and benefits of the employees, are entirely funded by the collection of fees for the services the office provides. The Louisiana Legislature statutorily establishes all fees.

We are pleased to offer free online access to all of our indices - land, criminal, and civil - in the online search feature of our website simply by signing in as a guest. Images for all our scanned records can be viewed by purchasing daily, monthly, or annual subscriptions on our website, www.clerk25th.com.

Our mission is to provide high quality, courteous and responsive service at all times, to manage and preserve accurate, meticulous records, and to provide convenient access to documents filed in our office.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. If you have any questions, email us at info@clerk25th.com
