Early Voting

Early Voting has become popular in recent years because of the convenience of multiple days available to vote, and that no excuse is needed. Typically, more than half of all votes in an election in Plaquemines Parish are cast during the early voting period.

Early Voting is conducted by Plaquemines Parish Registrar of Voters, Debra Rhodes. Voters residing anywhere in Plaquemines Parish may cast their vote early in person at any of the three locations listed below. For answers to questions regarding early voting, obtaining a mail-in ballot, or other registration matters, call (504) 934-3620.

Early Voting for the Saturday, October 14, 2023 PRIMARY election will be conducted 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30 through Saturday, October 7, (excluding Sunday, October 1).

Early Voting for the Saturday, November 18, 2023 GENERAL (RUN-OFF) election will be conducted 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 3 through Saturday, November 11, (excluding Sunday, November 5 & Friday November 10 [Veterans' Day observed]).

The list of individuals who have cast their vote in person during the early voting period, or who have mailed in a ballot, is public record and available on the La. Secretary of State's web site. It is presented in precinct order with voters' names alphabetically, and is updated daily. A cumulative list also is made available.
