Early Voting has become popular in recent years because of the convenience of multiple days available to vote, and that no excuse is needed. Typically, more than half of all votes in an election in Plaquemines Parish are cast during the early voting period.Early Voting is conducted by Plaquemines Parish Registrar of Voters, Debra Rhodes. Voters residing anywhere in Plaquemines Parish may cast their vote early in person at any of the three locations listed below. Early Voting for the Saturday, June 27, 2026, closed party primary for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and La. Public Service Commissioner will be conducted 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 12 – Saturday, Saturday, June 20 (excluding Sunday, June 14 & Friday, June 19).

Early Voting for the Tuesday, November 3 2026, general election for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and La. Public Service Commissioner and primary election for District Judge & District Attorney; Parish President & Councilman; School Board Member; Justice of the Peace and Constable; will be conducted 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20 – Tuesday, October 27, 2026 (excluding Sunday, October 25).

The list of individuals who have cast their vote in person during the early voting period, or who have mailed in a ballot, is public record and available on the La. Secretary of State’s web site. It is presented in precinct order with voters’ names alphabetically, and is updated daily. A cumulative list also is made available.
